Flowers and Butterflies Everywhere

As a creative team member, LisaJane has asked each of us to cut 5 flowers from Prima Flower Collection 1 (LK000126) and 5 butterflies from 3D Layered Butterfly Collection Set (LK00101) to help show off how they can be used.

Here are my flowers:

To decorate them, I used brads, cat's eye chalk, distresser, stickles and buttons.

Here are my butterflies:

To decorate them, I used stickles, liquid pearls and glossy accents.

I cut all of these at least 3" in size so I was able to show them off.  You can cut them any size you want, or need to fit your project's needs.  These are a great addition to your digital cutting files collection!!!

If you want to see more samples of the flowers and butterflies, please stop by the Filekutz blog to see what the rest of the creative team has created!

Stamps for Sale

I have a list of stamps for sale over on Splitcoaststampers (SCS) that went up this morning.  Here is the link to the thread.  If you are interested in any of them, please PM through SCS so I do not accidentally delete your email.

I have so many stamps that I need to clean out since my stamping style has changed.  I have not sold many stamps since I started stamping so I have plenty of them that have not seen ink in ages.  I am willing to part with them at cheap prices so I can "un-clutter" my craft room.

Thanks so much for taking the time to see what I have for sale!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Here is the birthday card that I made for my dad.  His birthday was  July 5th!  My mom bought him an Amazon kindle for his birthday so I got him a gift certificate so he could buy some books.

My mother was holding his kindle hostage until I could come over and show him how to use it.  He is known for not being patient and messing things up.  I went over yesterday and I updated it and gave him his kindle lessons!  LOL!  He does have a few more regular books to read before he can start reading on his kindle though.  I love mine so I know that he will love his!

I thought this set is perfect for any masculine cards!  I am so glad that I bought it!

Supplies:
Stamps: Papertrey Ink - Masculine Motifs, Papertrey Ink - Background Basics - Retro
Paper: PTI Vintage Cream, Realy Rust, Ruby Red
Ink: Really Rust, Ruby Red, Archival Jet Black

Starfish Background

Here is another background from Filekutz by LisaJane.  She originally made it using Make the Cut (MTC) software and asked me to test cut it since I have MTC also.

I used MTC to make a mat for the starfish too.  I love it with the two tones of browns.  I also used my new Xyron 500 machine to apply the adhesive to the background.  I chose it over the Xyron 510 Creative Station since I really do not think that I would ever laminate or add a magnet to anything.  It saved me $15 plus I do not have to pay for the extra cartridges.

Supplies:
Stamps: Papertrey Ink - Giga Guide Lines (Sentiment)
Paper: PTI White, Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Close to Cocoa
Acccessories: Cricut, Filekutz by LisaJane - Starfish (LK00137)

I thought that she was adorable and the sentiment was made for it!  Once again, I used flowers that I cut on my Cricut using a digital cutting file form Darcy's Designs (the link is below).  I made tons of my own flowers from scraps and I love them!

It's Done!

Okay, I was on a roll so I finished this king size quilt on Tuesday night.  Here it is:

I am soooo happy with it!!!! :)   I just need to bring it to the quilt store in town and then I can put it on our bed.  We also need to make a trip to Wal-Mart to get a black dust ruffle, matching sheets and black valance for the bedroom.

Do you believe that my hubby has already requested his next quilt?  He wants one in browns to work with what we have in the room now.  I told him that he gets one quilt every 7 years (this is his 2nd quilt and we have been married for 14 years)!  But I compromised and told him that I would watch for Joann's to have a 50% off sale and HE would buy all the fabric for me!  Hey, it is for the house so I am not using MY craft money!  LOL!

In the meantime, I am going to work on some other projects.  I think that I am going to start making some lap sized quilts to have on hand to sell or maybe even open a store in Etsy to sell them.  I usually make quilts as I need them but I really enjoy making them and I have so much fabric so why not use it!
