GCB Mini Monster

Okay, after finishing Ashton earlier this week, I am in am in the mood to make more amigurumi.  So here is my first one from Monster's Toybox.  This is Mini Monster in the Toy Box:

I used the remaining yarn from making Ashton as well since you only need 65 yards of a main color and 15 yards of a contrasting color to make one.  He is only 7" tall as compared to 12" tall for the full sized Monster in the Toy Box.

 

This little guy was quick and so much fun to make, I made him with only 3 1/2 hours of work.  I am making more of them as we speak.  I am hoping to find good homes for them soon!

Ashton Mystery CAL

I recently participated in a mystery CAL (Crochet A Long) with the Freshstitches group on Ravelry for September.  As I made the parts for the clues, I was unsure of the end result.  I thought it might have been a fox but I was expecting more parts to be made with clue #3 but there were none.

Ashton is a puppy pillow.  I love how he came out!  Here's his back side too:

 

I think he has a cute little butt with a stubby tail.  Don't you just want to hug him!

Purple Muriel the Butterfly

Light Blue Owen

Here is another monkey for a commissioned order from work:

I must admit, I am rather tired of making Owen the Monkey since this is the fourth one I have made in two months.  But, on a positive note, I think that assembling him is now easier.  He came out perfect!

My Buddy Bee Package

Here is my buddy bee package that I received from Alayna (ATobey on Ravelry):

 

I loved it!  Here is a close up of Archer the dog:

 

She made him to match my chocolate labradoodle, Hershey!  I think he is too cute!

 

She also made me a kindle cover that fits perfectly:

 

She was afraid that it might not fit but it did.  She also included a soap saver crocheted holder for when I go camping and a thread cutter.

Buddy Bee Swap

I participated in another swap put on by the Freshstitches group over on Ravelry.  Here is what I made for my partner, Michaela (ToastyOat on Ravelry):

She had this amigurumi listed as a favorite so I had to make it for her in her favorite color orange.  I found the instructions to covert the gnome into a wizard from this blog posting from a fellow Raveler.

 

I also made her a pillowcase:

 

When I saw this fabric in my stash, it screamed her name so I made it for her.  I also added a placemat for her dalmation Zelda, 2 appliqued hand towels and a skein of Cascade Soft Spun yarn in orange.  She totally loved everything!  It was a pleasure being your buddy bee Michaela!

Scrap-A-Long Ruffle Alien

Here is my project for the Scrap-A-Long with the Freshstitches group over on Ravelry.  Meet my ruffled alien:

I made him from a magic ball that I purchased from Freshstitches.  Do you want to make your own magic ball?  Read about it HERE to learn how.  Here is the mostly purple one that I used to make the alien:

It is actually much easier than I thought it would be!  After I purchased this one, I went through my scraps (which wasn't much because I threw most of them away when I organized my craft room closet in November) and made two magic balls for myself.  One is mostly pink:

and the other is mostly green.

I can't wait to use them to make more scrappy amigurumi after I get caught up on my commissioned orders.

Jaden's Yoda

Jaden's birthday is coming up soon.  When I went to his sister's birthday party at the beginning of March, I asked him what he wanted me to make for him.  He requested a teddy bear.  Then his mother suggested anything Star Wars based since he is totally obsessed with it.  It is not his fault, his father is too.  So here's what I made him:

Ricky the Kutie Koala

I had a request to make a koala.  So I crcoheted one using the pattern for Ricky from Cuddly Crochet: Adorable Toys, Hats and More by Stacey Trock.  Here he is:

 

For the insides of the ears, I had to learn the loop stitch.  Once I figured it out, it wasn't too bad thanks to some help from Sam at work.  I really like how he came out!

Banana Berry Dragon

Here is a dragon that I made for our friend's son's 3rd birthday:

My hubby loved this dragon and insisted that I made one for little Stephen.  Since his birthday is near the end of February, I thought it would make a great present.  My hubby picked out the colors so he was nice and bright.  I love how he looks made with varigated yarn!
