Crocheted Infinity Scarf

Here is an infinity scarf that I made this week:

It is 64" long lays nicely wrapped around my neck twice.  I wore it to work and I got 5 orders for more.  I'm off to buy some new colors of yarn to get crocheting!!!

Kim's Golden Crochet Ruffle Scarf

My hubby asked me to make a scarf for one of his co-workers.  Here it is:

I really liked how it came out.  I added a fifth row to this scarf just to make it a little wider.  I like how it came out.  I will make this again, but I will make sure that I have enough yarn before I start so I don't have to make a special trip for one skein to finish it.

The Taupe Super-Fast, Ultra-Cozy Scarf

Here is a scarf that I made for Jeff's wife, Michelle, for Christmas:

Jeff and Jay went Christmas shopping and Jeff was going to buy his wife a scarf until suggested that I  make one for her.  I made it 70" long so it could be folded in half.  I like it!

Burgundy Potato Chip Scarf

Here is a scarf that I made for myself:

I love this pattern!  It is so easy and it is only knit stitches!  It was made with worsted weight yarn.  I used two skeins of yarn, equal to 426 yards, to make it nice and long.  I will definitely be making another one of these soon!

Soft Pink Clapochet

I made this for my mother for Christmas.  I started this on 11/14 and I ripped it apart on 11/15 and started all over.  After looking at pictures of other finished ones, I realized that I was counting my last 2 TR incorrectly.  No wonder it looked funky!  I also changed my hook from a J to a E!  I love the way it came out!  It is much tighter and neater!  I need to make one of these for me now!  LOL!

Gifts for Kyla

Our best friend's daughter, Kyla, is turning 7.  For her birthday, I decided to make her some knitted items to show off my newly acquired skills.

I thought this was a great chance for me to try something other than scarves and dishcloths by making some simple fingerless gloves without thumbs.  In reading some of the project comments, lots of kids love these, I hope she does too!  Since her favorite color is purple (duh, I bet you figured that out yourself ~ LOL!), I made both of these using the same yarn to match.  I tried them on and they are a little tight on me so they should fit perfectly on her!

Another Purse Scarf

This time I changed it up a little.  I used chunky yarn with size 11 needles and I cast on 14 stitches.  I love this varigated yarn too!  It looks so neat!

Taupe Purse Scarf

OMG, I totally love the look of this scarf:

Once again, I am using super bulky yarn!  It is actually on sale for 2 for $10 at Michael's until Saturday.  I just love how quickly these scraves knit out.

I finished this scarf on Monday, President's Day, so I had a day to myself with Simba.  He wanted to help too, take a look:

He actually did not mind wearing the scarf and did not want me to take it off.  I don't think that is the best color for him though!  LOL!

Cozy Blossom Scarf

I promised to make a different scarf and I delivered!  Here it is:

This scarf was fun to make!  Once I got the hang off doing a yarn over and knitting two together, it went super fast.  I just had to loosen up my tension a bit so I could get the large needle under two stitches.  Since you only cast on 10 stitches, this scarf is narrow and long.  I really like the looks of it!

Another Squishy Scarf

Here is another squishy scarf I made:

For this one, I did not add fringe so it could be gender neutral.  I also used a larger needle this time to make it fuller and more squishy.  I made this scarf in under 6 hours.  I started it while watching a movie on Friday night and I finished it on our ride to go snowmobiling in New Hampshire (it was 1-1/2 hours each way).

I am going to try another pattern on my next scarf, promise!

Squishy Scarf

Here's my latest scarf:

This scarf was easy and fun!  This was my first time working with super bulky yarn, it knitted up so fast!  I started it on Saturday morning in between working on a quilt and I finished it Sunday night.  I just used one skein of yarn instead of two as the pattern called for, I thought it was long enough.  I'll be using this pattern again soon!

I completed my second knitting project on Saturday morning!

I really like making this one with the pattern to it.  I also finished it by adding some fringe from the leftover yarn.

First Knitting Project Completed

Well I did it!  I finished my first knitting project.  Here it is:

I started this last Sunday when I took my first knitting class.  It only took me 8 days to complete it and I never picked up needles before.  My only complain is that I think that I made it to wide, I casted off 30 stitches.  I would rather have it longer than thicker.  It will still work though.  Don't you love the little bit of personality it has with the lump on on of the ends.  That's where I first started and I was accidentally adding stitched with each row.  Oops, I figured it out though!  I am very happy with it!
