Feature Friday 11/27/09

So did everyone survive Thanksgiving? How many of you are Black Friday shoppers? NOT ME!!! I'm enjoying my extra time off from work and I am hoping to make some Christmas gifts too!

This week's challenge over at The Character Cafe is being hosted by Angie C. Her challenge is a color combination using Papertrey Ink's Spring Moss, Spring Rain and Melon Berry. For those of you that do not know this, Papertrey Ink's Melon Berry is really close to Stampin' Up's retired Groovy Guava. So if you miss that SU color, go check it out.

I decided to use Pax the Penguin this week. I have a co-worker's birthday coming up in December and she loves penguins, how fitting!

Be sure to check the other design team member's work who are working on this week's challenge:

Angie C, Rachel, Piali, Deanne and Heather

And don't forget to show the rest of the design team some love too:

Billie, Fink, Lola, Meredith and Sara

Supplies:
Stamps: The Character Cafe - Pax Penguin, Unity - Worn Grid
Paper: PTI White, Spring Moss, Spring Rain, Groovy Guava DP

Rusty's 3rd Birthday

Okay, I'm only a year behind on my scrapping considering Rusty's 4th birthday was a few weeks ago. Every year I bake him yellow cupcakes and I do not frost two of them for him.

Judging by these picures, do you think that he enjoys them? He is so spoiled and we love it!

Hump Day Inspiration #5

Today is my 37th birthday! I share it with someone that is really special to me, Mickey Mouse! Hence the obsession! I have one rule for my birthday, I refuse to cook. Knowing Jay, we will be having Subway grinders tonight or chinese food, either one is fine with me. This gives me more time to play in my craft room! Have fun with this week's sketch!

I'd like to see your work using my sketch. Please leave me a comment along with a link to your card. When uploading it to SCS, PCP or other stamping community, please use SCDU6.

I'm in the Mood to Scrap

I've been in the mood to scrap lately. Here is my last page from my Disney scrapbook from our trip in September 2008.

In Hollywood Studios, in the Animation Building, they offer classes on how to draw a character. Unforuntely, it was our day to fly home; otherwise, I would have spent the day there to learn how to draw all the characters available. Mine is on the right and Jay's is on the left. Which is better??? Anyways, it was really fun!
