Embroidered Gift Items

I received some comments on my blog that some people wanted to see what I was making for Christmas gifts.  Well I dusted off the embroidery machine and made a some embroidered gifts for my hubby's co-workers.  Here they are:

Christmas Ornament

I found the pattern for this ornament on Embroidery Library.  If you are into machine embroidery, this is best website out there!  They have tons of designs that stitch out beautifully and are reasonably priced.  The back of this ornament is the same red and white dotted fabric as the front so you do not see the stitching.  If you are interested, here are the directions for making these ornaments.

Refrigerator Magnet

Framed Sayings

I made five different framed sayings so that everyone had a different one.  They read: Grow, Dream, Imagine, Shine and Live, Laugh and Love.  The last one is for some good friends of ours, Steve and Darlene who love snowmobiling just as much as we do.  It reads: "All my Friends are Flakes!"  Perfect!

I also had a surprise baby shower at work the other day so I embroidered some items for her and her baby.  Here they are:

Here are my two final embroidered items to share with you today.  I made these bibs for my co-worker's daughter who is 6 months old.

Thanksgiving

Christmas

Since my co-worker's father watches the baby during the week, I came across this design and I had to make it for her!

If anyone is interested in getting into machine embroidery or has any questions, please feel free to ask and I will be happy to help you.  But warning, like any other hobby, it can get expensive!  Between all the colors of thread, types of stabilizer, the embroidery machine, computer software and most importantly all the designs, the wallet will be empty!!!

Happy Stitching!
